Tyrone is a Welsh-based singer/songwriter, whose back catalogue stretches over 15 years, encompassing many styles, moods and topics. He has performed since the age of 14 and regularly appears throughout the South Wales valleys, playing over 250 live gigs over the last 2 ½ years, and also appearing on both radio and television. He follows in his father’s footsteps, himself an established artist, who was signed to the “Philips International” record label between 1971 and 1973, making numerous appearances on t.v and radio, releasing 2 albums and 3 singles (including one written by Billy Joel) and touring with The Marmalade and Shirley Bassey amongst others. Tyrone has fronted 3 bands of contrasting styles, collaborating with fellow band members, including his late close friend: Mark Pearson, with whom he spent many years writing and performing as ‘3rd Party’ and achieving some success when two of their own tracks: - “Looking Thru My Window” and “All The Time In The World” were included on a compilation album entitled “The Point & The Rays” (independently released) alongside such artists as Wishbone Ash. Sadly, Mark died from a heart-related illness in March 2005 and Tyrone, along with the remaining ex-bandmates from “The Food” (Tyrone’s 2nd band, which Mark was briefly part of) performed at a charity gig in Mark’s memory, raising funds and awareness.
Lyrics from a song Tyrone wrote as a tribute to the late Marilyn Monroe entitled “Do You Dream Of Norma Jeane” were published in the U.K based fanzine The Marilyn Lives Society. Tyrone has also entered a song for the Eurovision Song Contest and has previously appeared on the music download site mp3.com, where his own tracks occupied the top 6 chart places in the region at one time ! Constantly writing, recording and performing, Tyrone has recently released a CD single entitled “ Ocean Supernatural “ which was recorded at top local studio “ Tyrone has recently signed a publishing deal with Croydon-based WORLD DOMINATION MUSIC LTD and is confident there is a market and audience out there for his very commercial blend of Pop/Rock in the vein of Crowded House, Keane, Travis and The Beatles.
